Hello Lacrosse Families,

The changing of the clocks means only one thing; it’s lacrosse season!  Here is some important information about the upcoming season

• Registration Deadline this Friday, March 13th

If you know any other parents/players that have not registered please let them know about the deadline.  All players must be registered through the HLC website and have a valid US Lacrosse number in order to participate in any practice.

 

• Indoor Practices

There will be 3 indoor practices held at the NEC Fieldhouse on Saturday March 14th, 21st and 28th.Schedule for practices as follows:

      GIRLS

• 8:00-10:00:  U13 & U15 girls (grades 6-8)
• 10:00-11:00:  U9 (grade 3 and younger)
• 10:30-12:00:  U11 (grades 4-5)

BOYS

• 12:00-2:00:  U13 & U15 (grades 6-8)
• 2:00-3:00:  U9 (grade 3 and younger)
• 2:30-4:00:  U11 (grade 4-5)

Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow your player time to put on equipment prior to start of practice

NOTE:  on March 28th practices will begin at 10:00am, not 8:00, so all start times will be pushed back 2 hours, ie, girls U13/15 will begin at 10:00 and boys U11 will end at 6:00pm.

• Outdoor Practices

The first outdoor practices are scheduled to begin on Wednesday 4/1.  Field locations are not yet confirmed due to snow.  Your child’s coach will follow up with more details as we get closer.  Practice days are scheduled as follows:

 

• Girls U15 & U13:  Monday/Wednesday/Friday (5:00-6:30)
• Girls U11:  One Midweek day (M/W or F) & Saturday morning
• Girls U9:  Weekday TBD & Saturday (10:30-11:30)
• Boys U15:  Tuesday/Thursday/Friday (5:30-7:00)
• Boys U13:  Tuesday/Thursday
• Boys U11:  Tuesday/Thursday (5-6:30)
• Boys U9:  Tuesday and/or Thursday (5:30-7:00)

 

2015 Game & Tournament Information

• March 29th Early Season Scrimmage for U13 & U15 Boys and Girls Only  Location—Proctor Academy

This is intended to be a fun tournament to get the kids used to playing on a full field again (and some for the first time).  For most teams attending, this will be everyone’s first time on a real field and there will be some practice time built into the day.  The focus of the tournament will be in fundamentals and having fun…..not the scoreboard.

 

• NHYLA Season Opens Sunday April 12th

Sunday games currently being scheduled.Times and locations will be released in early April

 

• NHYLA Season Ends Sunday June 7th

 

• NHYLA Year End Lacrosse Festival June 13-14, Londonderry, NH (schedule/day of games depends on standings at end of regular season)

 

• Granite State Lacrosse Festival June 20th, Amherst, NH

• Uniforms

It is our hope that the additional one-time cost of a uniform for your U11, U13 or U15 player(s) does not create a barrier for your child to play lacrosse this year.Through the generous donations from several local companies, HLC has created a fund to provide uniforms to any families that request support.All requests should be emailed to laxinfo@hopkintonlacrosse.com and will be kept confidential.

 

• Volunteers

HLC is a non-profit organization and relies 100% on volunteers to serve in all capacities to support the program.  All coaches and administrators would greatly appreciate help with roles such as team parent, score keeper, parking lot attendant, field lining, etc.  Please let the coach of your son/daughter’s team know if you are willing to help this season.

 

• Hopkinton Lacrosse Club Webstore is Open!!
